DEVELOPING LOW CARBON AEROPLANE FUELS
Great to visit Nova Pangea on Wilton yesterday, and see how far this company has come in the last four years.
I was joined by Transport Minister, Anthony Browne, and the Mayor Ben Houchen to take a look at the groundbreaking technologies that Nova are using to develop the fuels of the future.
Sustainable Aviation Fuel is key to decarbonising air travel, while keeping planes in the sky and creating jobs on the ground.
And Teesside is becoming a hub for the creation of these new fuels with companies like Nova Pangea leading the way - creating jobs for local people. Over the next year, they’re increasing their headcount by 141%!
I first visited them in March 2020, and it’s amazing to see how they’ve grown - now partnering with British Airways and IAG to deliver these fuels of the future.
