Down at Lazenby social club with Councillor David Taylor, chatting to members of the committee about how to keep the club going.
They were quite frank with me that if the club isn’t able to raise funds over the next few months it’s likely that the club will fold.
They have some good ideas about events coming up, including restarting the bingo and doing events for the kids and families in the village. We also spoke about their plans for the beer garden/playground behind the club.
The Lazenby Social Club is part of the fabric of Lazenby Village and is at the heart of the community. We will be doing what we can to support them.
