Today, Jacob was back in Westminster and questioning The Prime Minister on his plans to prevent illegal crossings across the Channel.
Jacob has shared his own views on the subject many times and often gets criticised for it.
Yesterday we had almost 1000 illegal crossings across the English Channel.
Jacob commented about his speech on social media:
"As a country we're showing immense generosity by welcoming thousands of Afghan women, minorities and those who helped us over two decades, who now face a brutal regime."
"The situation in Dover means our generosity is being exploited by those who jump the queue, and travel here from a safe country (France)."
"Our new 'Borders Bill' in Parliament will go some way to help - but in the meantime, the Government must take robust action."
"We need to help those who need our help most. France is safe. Afghanistan is not."
