Jacob Young MP was due to join a local fishing boat this afternoon, unfortunately the weather wasn't on his side. Nevertheless, Jacob headed down to Redcar sea front to hear more about the fishing industry in our area and the changes that could help our local fleet grow.
Jacob commented about the meeting on his social media page:
"Wouldn’t it be great to see more fish, caught sustainably and sold locally?"
"I’d love to see a local fish market in Redcar again, and for our local fishermen to be able to grow there businesses and supply more produce in our area."
"From my chats today, there sounds like there could be some simple fixes - will do what I can to support them."
