The new owners of British Steel, Jingye, have big plans for Teesside and are determined to secure the sites long term future.
The site is Covid-secure and has implemented preventative measures across site to stop the spread and help protect workers; including using face masks, hand gel and social distancing.
I spoke with CEO, Ron Deelen during my visit about the future of British Steel and the huge potential ahead, for the construction of HS2.
Using UK based steel companies for HS2 can reduce the cost and environmental impact of transportation, while boosting our economy and providing jobs for British Workers.
HS2 is one of the biggest infrastructure projects the country has seen many years, and the need to buy British has never been so clear.
