The Tees Valley Mayor, Ben Houchen
has set up the new Teesworks Heritage Taskforce to look at how we can best remember the history of the former Steelworks site, while looking forward to the future.
The taskforce will be chaired by me and also includes former SSI worker James Baker, North Area Chair of Arts Council England Kate Willard, Teesside historian Tosh Warwick and a representative from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
We have a unique opportunity to properly mark our history and heritage in steel making so please give us your views and thoughts about how we should do this.
