- Net Zero Teesside will be a power plant, which captures the carbon emissions and safely stores the CO2 under the North Sea
- It will be based on the former steelworks site, right by the blast furnace
- It links in with local industry, so that they can eliminate their CO2 emissions too
- It means of thousands of jobs in Teesside over the next decade
Through this project, the worlds first industrial scale carbon capture, utilisation and storage project, we will show the country and the world how to safely remove carbon emissions industry.
