Today, Jacob joined his fellow Tees Valley MP's in a meeting with Chancellor Rishi Sunak, to discuss further investment in our area.
Collectively, the group of MP's made the case for bringing a post-Brexit Freeport to Teesside in the future. They also made a plea to bring Treasury jobs to the Tees Valley.
So far, the Chancellor has already invested millions in Teesside, including in the former Steelworks site.
Jacob commented: "There are other areas pushing for these things too and it’s important to present a united front."
