TAKING BACK CONTROL
I, like many of my constituents, wish to see super trawlers stopped from operating in our seas, destroying our marine wildlife and damaging our fishing towns.
So, today I raised the issue in the House of Commons, asking the Minister to confirm that, when we leave the EU on the 31st December, we will be able to prevent super trawlers from operating in our seas.
It was confirmed that all the necessary steps would be taken to protect our waters from predators. As we leave the EU and become an Independent Coastal State, we will take back control of our waters.
