Today, the Communities Secretary Robert Jenrick, came to Redcar to hear more about the plans for the £25 million worth of government investment.
The plans were accepted in full on Tuesday and include improvements to housing, a new water sports facility, improved connectivity to Teesworks and many more.
The Minister was also able to hear about the additional funding Jacob is keen to secure for projects such as Redcar Train Station. Jacob also pressed the case for investment in other areas, including in Eston Square and with Eston Baths.
Posting on social media, Jacob said: "It was great to bring Robert Jenrick here."
"We're now pulling together our next bid for investment in TS6 and the wider borough - but it's great that we've got this over the line and I'm sure we'll see it bringing more visitors across our fantastic area."
