Remembrance services in Redcar & Marske.
Jacob would like to thank Alan Frankland, President of the Redcar Branch; Royal British Legion, for laying a wreath on my behalf at Redcar cenotaph today.
And also to Niall, who works in my constituency office team, for laying one at St. Mark’s church, Marske by the Sea.
Jacob wishes that he could attend all of the services across our area, and he has heard many stories about how well attended they have all been.
Jacob also wrote the message below about the service he attended in Eston:
"Privileged to stand along side so many veterans, as well as serving men and women, to pay our respects in Eston this morning.
It was amazing to see so many people - especially young people - come and take part in the service and I’m grateful to the Eston Remembers committee and others for their work in organising.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning. We will remember them."
