I joined with Students, Staff and former pupils of Redcar & Cleveland College (or Sir William Turner School as it once was) to pay our respects to the 103 old boys of the school who passed during the first and second world wars.
It also marked the 100 year anniversary of the unveiling of the Coatham School war memorial, which now sits on Corporation Road.
Grateful to the College and the William Turner Trust for keeping this tradition going throughout the years.
Those former students, like thousands across the country, went to war to defend our freedom.
We will remember them.
