Today, the Prime Minister announced he was scrapping the Birmingham to Manchester leg of HS2 saving the tax payer £36 Billion.
He has announced he will use that £36 Billion to invest in road and rail infrastructure through ‘Network North’ - with almost £1 Billion of it coming directly to Teesside.
I fully support this - delivering our local priorities for the North, instead of defaulting to London’s priorities for us.
Can’t understand why Teesside Labour MPs are against this and us getting almost £1 Billion… must just be because it’s good news again.
