Today, Jacob Young MP announced on his social media that Sembcorp is planning to build a new 300MW Net Zero Emissions Power Station at the Wilton International site.
This new, green and sustainable technology is a huge step towards the UK's Net Zero 2050 goal.
The site will also offer a potential of 2,000 new during construction and a significant number during operations.
Jacob stated: "This kind of investment in Wilton will be a huge boost for the future of other companies on the site; and is part of our plan towards a cleaner, safer and healthier future for everyone.
I’m proud to have worked in Industry on Wilton, and excited about the future the site and Teesside holds."
