This morning Jacob attended a remembrance service at Redcar & Cleveland College, where he was honoured to lay a wreath and plant a cross.
Every year the college holds a service to remember all of the 102 former students who died in the great wars.
Each cross, has a name of those pupils.
Archibald Hunter died aged 19. He was the last of the William Turner pupils to be killed during the First World War, just four days before armistice.
For all of the students who put down the books and dutifully served. Some returned, some did not. We will remember them.
