How we’re levelling up in our area 
Chatting to the BBC yesterday about how we’re regenerating Redcar & Cleveland - improving our high streets and supporting tourism here.
Here’s a small list of what we’re doing:
£8 million regeneration for Eston Square
Indoor leisure facility & library on Redcar seafront
£6 million redevelopment of Redcar Train Station
New Outdoor/Watersports Centre at Coatham
£7.5 million rebuilding Eston Baths
Regeneration on Station Road, Redcar
New Hotel coming to Coatham
£9.6 million for the new Regent Cinema
£8.3 million at Kirkleatham Walled Gardens
Majuba beach crazy golf recently opened
That’s alongside everything that’s already here - like Redcar Racecourse, Flatts Lane Country Park, the Speedway at South Bank, Kirkleatham Museum, Eston Hills and many more great things in our area.
All while building the UKs Largest Freeport and a plan to create 18,000 job over the course of 5 years on the site in new sustainable industries.
The weather was the polar opposite to today - but we’re building a Redcar & Cleveland where it doesn’t matter what the weather is like… there’ll be reasons for people to come here and see what we have to offer.
