Just an update on the Levelling Up Fund.
Hopefully you’re well aware that I have made a bid to the Levelling Up Fund for two projects in the TS6 area:
- £8million to redevelop Eston Square
- £8million for a new pool at Eston Baths
I wanted to share this letter attached which I received from the Levelling Up Minister on Monday, which confirms the Government is still going ahead with the Levelling Up Fund, but that the decision on successful bids will be taken by the end of January.
Part of the reasons for this delay is the increase in funding available - last year it was £1.7billion, this has increased to £2.1billion.
I know it’s disappointing it’s delayed again, but from my perspective - I’d rather wait a little longer, in the hope that we get the right result.
Will keep pushing for our bids to be successful
