Today, in the House of Commons, the MP for Redcar queried the Minister on what the government's 'Levelling Up' agenda meant for transport.
Jacob Young is campaigning to stop LNER's planned service changes between London and Darlington for May 2022.
These changes have the potential to impact upon the government's other 'Levelling Up' plan for Teesside - a new, economic campus in Darlington.
Other plans include building of the UK's largest Freeport in Redcar and further collaboration with Tees Valley Mayor, Ben Houchen.
Jacob later stated: "Good to hear the Government's commitment to connectivity, but will keep pushing."
