Today, the Redcar MP Jacob attended the RAF base in Coningsby as part of his programme with the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme - which allows MPs to experience first-hand the training and processes of our Armed Forces.
This year, Jacob is participating in the RAF branch of the scheme.
Posting about the visit on social media, Jacob wrote: "Great visit to RAF Coningsby today to learn more about our Typhoon Force and see some of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - including sitting in a Spitfire."
"Our RAF Typhoons can deploy in less than 10 minutes to protect British Sovereign Airspace and deal with any potential threats. Fantastic to see!"
