URGENT: REDCAR & CLEVELAND COUNCIL BUDGET
I am writing today to make you aware of Redcar & Cleveland Council’s budget consultation for our area, which closes this week on Thursday 13th January 2022.
We have been promised the demolition of the Eston Precinct buildings and a transformation of Eston Square for many years yet, you may have seen in the local media that the Council has announced they are revisiting these proposals and looking for an alternative. As your Member of Parliament, I have explained to them that I view withdrawal from these plans as completely unacceptable and I will work with whoever to ensure they are delivered.
Within the Council’s budget consultation, Question 3 asks for feedback on their Capital Investment Plan, which currently includes no mention of the plans for Eston Precinct.
