Today, Jacob Young MP for Redcar questioned, in parliament, what more could be done to force social media companies to take a stand against online hate, following the racist comments made against England Football Players, following the European Championship final.
The government intend to introduce new fines for social media companies, should they refuse to act against online hate on their platforms.
Jacob said he is: "Sick to the back teeth of Social Media companies not stamping out online hate."
"It ruins people’s lives… these comments live in peoples head for years and yet social media bosses fail to act."
