Yesterday, Jacob Young MP raised an important local issue in parliament: The ability for those under the age of 40 to be able to book their Covid-19 vaccine at the Riverside Stadium site in Middlesbrough.
Jacob previously fought for this local vaccination hub after hearing constituents were having to travel to Durham for the jab.
Due to the Riverside stocking the Astra Zeneca vaccine (which is not recommended for under 40's) people in this age-range have been struggling to acquire their first dose locally.
Jacob raised the issue in the House of Commons and was told that the relevant Minister would look into it.
Posting on Facebook, Jacob quoted: "I know some people are facing issues with the booking system for the Riverside."
"The good news is that Darlington and other local centres should have appointments offering the other types of vaccine, so you should still be able to find a slot."
