Today, the Redcar MP joined the Eston Remembrance Day Parade to unveil the area's new Remembrance Mural.
The mural - painted by Eston artist Philip Meadows - pays tribute to those lost in War. The ribbon was cut today, on the 76th anniversary of VE Day.
Posting on social media, Jacob Young stated: "It was an honour to cut the ribbon at the new Remembrance Mural in Eston Square this morning."
"From across Teesside, our greatest generation put down tools and picked up guns to go and fight for Britain. This mural pays tribute to them - and helps us all to remember them."
