The Home Secretary, Priti Patel, joined Jacob Young MP for a visit to Redcar this week.
She also met with new Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) - Steve Turner, alongside some of Cleveland's new police recruits.
So far in the last 18 months, we've seen 185 new officers, with more to come.
The Home Secretary was also able to hear the PCC's plan for a new Violence Reduction Unit in Teesside.
