On Saturday, Jacob Young MP was present for the new office opening of the Chris Cave Foundation (CCF) in Redcar. The new premises is based on West Dyke Road.
The opening date also fell on the 18th anniversary of the death of Chris Cave to knife crime - his Mother Theresa Cave now runs the foundation in his memory. CCF aim to support the families and victims of knife crime and educate young people on the issue.
CCF's work, alongside the 'Point 7' programme both focus on tackling knife crime in the area.
Jacob says Theresa's work, "means kids in Teesside and around the country are safer and I pay a huge tribute to her for it."
He also stated on social media that he was: "So pleased they've finally been able to open these new facilities."
